Blackhawk Technical College utilizes a state-of-the-art simulation lab to recreate real-world medical and public safety scenarios. In this academy, students will participate in interactive, hands-on experiences that allow them to learn and practice skills in a safe, controlled environment using life-size robotic patient simulators.
Participants will work through scenarios involving patients of all ages—from infants to adults—and experience a wide range of medical conditions. These realistic simulations are designed to give students an authentic look at pre-hospital and clinical care.
What Students Will Learn:
- Introduction to simulation-based healthcare and public safety training
- Hands-on experience with life-size robotic patient simulators
- Basic assessment and response skills across different patient age groups
- Exposure to real-world medical and emergency scenarios
- Critical thinking and decision-making in a clinical setting
