What is Hendricks CareerTek?
Hendricks CareerTek is a state-of-the-art career center located at 625 Third Street in the Ironworks campus, that provides career development, career education, and career opportunities to youth in the Greater Beloit community.
Funded by a generous grant from the Hendricks Family Foundation to the Stateline Boys & Girls Club, Hendricks CareerTek provides local area youth the opportunities to gain valuable insights into workforce demands, career pathways, and requisite skill sets.

Equipping the Next Generation:
Hendricks CareerTek offers a variety of responsive workshops aimed at equipping up and coming workers with essential skills like soft skills, financial skills, resume and application support along with other tailored workshops. These workshops help ensure that potential employees are equipped with workplace essentials.
Connecting Business with Potential Employees:
Finding and retaining strong, skilled employees is time consuming and expensive. Hendricks CareerTek works specifically with young adults both in high school and recently graduated to identify their skills and connect them with potential employers looking to hire. Businesses can choose to interview vetted candidates knowing they have completed paperwork, matching skill sets, and a desire to start a career.
What are Hendricks CareerTek’s current offerings?
Hendricks CareerTek provides workshops and other educational services that directly complement skills in high demand by today’s workforce, such as coding, healthcare, construction and trades, manufacturing, medical and entrepreneurship.
Including but not limited to:
Career exploration workshops, business soft skills boot camps, business listening sessions, financial literacy workshops, keynote speakers, and other workforce-related initiatives. Businesses can partner with the center to benefit students in the areas of coding, entrepreneurship, and programming. Individual career sessions are also provided for one-on- one exploration.
How do I get involved with the program offerings at Hendricks CareerTek?
There are numerous ways to get involved in Hendricks CareerTek. Businesses can participate in career panels, provide job shadowing opportunities, hire students for internships or co-ops or state certified Youth Apprenticeships.
Additionally, businesses are welcome to attend listening sessions, where the center reaches out to the business community to gather valuable workforce needs information in order to help prepare the next generation of workers. Provide feedback to assist the center with being responsive to needs in the workforce, volunteer with one of the many student groups affiliated with the center like programming, coding, or entrepreneurship.
