Explore the world of metal forging in the Forge the Future Summer Academy. In this hands-on experience, students will learn about the forging process and its real-world applications while participating in STEAM-based and team-building activities. Participants will also have the opportunity to tour Scot Forge and see large-scale industrial forging in action.
Students will begin and end each day at Blackhawk Technical College, with transportation provided to Scot Forge for the industry tour.
What Students Will Learn:
- Introduction to metal forging and its applications in industry
- Basic STEAM concepts related to materials and manufacturing
- Teamwork and problem-solving through hands-on activities
- Insight into large-scale industrial forging processes
- Career pathways in manufacturing and skilled trades
REQUIREMENTS
Closed toe shoes required, no sandals or Crocs etc.
