January After School Program
Students enrolled in the January After School Program will explore the field of Hematology—the study of how blood is produced and how it functions within the body. Students will learn about red and white blood cells, platelets, bone marrow, lymph nodes, and the proteins involved in blood clotting.
The month’s theme, “What’s Blood Got to Do With It?”, aligns with National Blood Donor Month in January. Programming will highlight the critical importance of blood donation and the role of blood transfusions in modern medicine and hematology.
