SafeSitter 1

This academy is designed to help students stay safe and confident when home alone, caring for younger siblings, or babysitting. Through instructor-led activities, fun games, and role-playing exercises, participants will build essential safety and caregiving skills. Students will also practice hands-on rescue techniques, including choking response, using training mannequins.

What Students Will Learn:

• Basic safety skills for staying home alone
• Babysitting fundamentals and caregiving techniques
• How to respond to common emergencies
• Choking rescue and basic first aid skills
• Responsibility, confidence, and decision-making

Requirements:

A SafeSitter® registration form must be completed by a parent or guardian prior to the start of class
Forms will be emailed to parents in advance and can be returned via email or brought to class
