Students will be introduced to careers in Firefighting and Emergency Medical Services (EMS), including the education and training required for each path. Through hands-on activities, participants will practice real-world skills used by first responders and gain insight into the fast-paced nature of these professions.
What Students Will Learn:
- Overview of Firefighter and EMS career pathways and requirements
- Basic airway management techniques
- Bleeding control and emergency response fundamentals
- Search and rescue techniques for locating victims
- Safe use of a fire extinguisher
- Introduction to fire suppression, including vehicle fire scenarios
