November Trades After School Program
Students enrolled in the November Trades After School Program will:
Spend time in five different classes learning about:
- Mid-States Concrete Industries
- Safety and PPE in concrete work
- How to read a blueprint
- How to build a concrete form
- Use tools and materials commonly found on a job site.
- Tour the Mid-States Facility.
Requirement:
- Closed-toe shoes
- Long pants
- Long sleeves
Location: All classes will be held at Mid-States Concrete, South Beloit.
Dates: Five Tuesdays:
11/4 – Plant Tour/PPE in Concrete
11/11 – Blueprint Reading
11/18 – Concrete Form Construction
11/25 – Pouring Concrete
12/2- Polishing Concrete
Time: 4:00 – 5:00 pm
Location: Mid-States Concrete
Grades: 6-8
Spots Available: 12
