Explore the world of forging! Students will participate in hands-on activities and learn about careers in the forging industry.
Introductory blacksmithing activities that emphasize safety, basic skills, and simple projects will be covered.
What is Forging? Forging is a manufacturing process where metal is pressed, pounded or squeezed under great pressure into high strength parts.
Students will learn about these applications and why forging is such an integral part of modern manufacturing.
Dates: Four Tuesdays:
10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28
Focus: Forging/Metal Working
Time: 4:00 – 5:00 pm
Location: Hendricks CareerTek (Week 1-3), Scot Forge’s Clinton Facility (Week 4)
Grades: 6-8

The student registration process will be conducted through a lottery system.
