4 Week, Hands-On After School Program
The healthcare afterschool program is a 4-week program partnering with Beloit Health System in which students are able to learn about the duties and responsibilities of a registered nurse. This program is for grades 6-9 and meets each Wednesday of the month. It also gives students the opportunity to earn Skill Certifications upon completion. The first three weeks will be here at the CareerTek space, and the last week will be at Beloit Memorial Hospital for a tour.
- Sept 6th- Nursing and CPR
- Sept 13th- Sutures
- Sept 20th- Blood pressure/breathing
- Sept 27th- Hospital tour
Registration is open from August 15th-31st with spots available for 12 students. Students signing up are expected to be at all 4 Wednesday meetings from 4:00-5:00 pm.
