The 2024 Student Filmmaker Workshop
The Beloit International Film Festival is bringing back a great opportunity for students (grades 7th – 12th) to collaborate with professional filmmakers and learn how to make movies that look like… well… movies!! Students will learn how to write, direct and edit as they complete their short films.
The program will be comprised of five sessions starting February 28th and will end with a viewing of all films created on April 10th. Orientation will be Wednesday, February 28th 5:00-6:00pm at CareerTek. The remaining four sessions will be held every Wednesday in March 2024 at 5:00 pm
Instruction is provided by Beloit filmmakers Marjorie and Brenton Driscoll of Peer Canvas.
A viewing of the student’s films will be on April 10th for family and friends. And finally, one lucky film will be given a Student Filmmaker Showcase BIFFY Award! This is a great opportunity for young filmmakers to learn from professionals and hone their skills. Don’t miss out!
