Construction Club | WINTER 2023
12-week (one semester) long project
The construction club at CareerTek is a 12-week (one semester) long project in which students are working to learn construction skills and build a scale model house. During this program, students gain the opportunity to earn Industry Recognized Certifications upon completion.

- Jan 10th- Measurement
- Jan 17th- PPE/machine and tool safety
- Jan 24th- Site estimates
- Jan 31th- Laying out a site
- Feb 7th- Pouring concrete
- Feb 14th- Floor framing
- Feb 21th- Wall and ceiling
- Feb 28th- Roof framing
- Mar 6th- Roofing and materials
- Mar 13th- Windows and doors
- Mar 20th- Exterior wall finish
- Mar 27th- Interior wall framing
It is important for students to attend all Wednesday meetings to learn all the skills. (Note: by completing this program, students will be eligible to participate in our SUMMER OSHA 30 training class.)
