October’s Healthcare After School program is partnering with Rockford Career College and will focus on veterinary care.
Students will learn about different aspects of vet tech job duties including temperatures, pulse and respiratory rates, laboratory skills, bandaging limbs and handling emergencies including CPR for animals.
We will culminate our month with a fun field trip to Rockford Career College to see their labs and where the students do all their learning.
This is a fantastic chance for hands-on experience in these exciting fields.

Oct 16: Vet Tech. Laboratory Skills
Oct 23: Field trip to Rocford Career College. **Note the time change for this week to allow for travel time. Meet @ Rockford Career College at 4:30-5:30. Meeting location and directions will be spelled out in confirmation email.
Students signing up for this program are expected to be at all Wednesday meetings from 4:00-5:00 pm.
