4 Week, Hands-On After School Program
September’s Healthcare After School program is partnering with the Stateline Family YMCA on careers involving nutrition and personal training.
Students will participate in functional training exercises, explore the nutrition field by looking closely at whole foods to create a healthy snack, participate in a cooking demo learning tips for packing wholesome lunches that will support active students, and tour the Stateline Family YMCA participating in the teen orientation.
This is a fantastic chance for hands-on experience in these exciting fields.
Sep. 4: What is personal training? Functional training exercise
Sep 11: Nutrition careers & snack demo
Sep 18: Workouts and food for refueling
Sep 25: Teen orientation at YMCA (includes use of equipment)
Students signing up for this program are expected to be at all Wednesday meetings from 4:00-5:00 pm.
