This is a semester-long club that focuses on projects, training, and more to prepare you for a career in technology.
The Engineering with Mechanical Design Club at CareerTek is a 12-week long program in which students will learn all about CAD through a program called SolidWorks. Students will learn to 2D and 3D model basic to advanced parts, how to properly read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and how to create multipart assemblies. Upon completion of this program, students will be eligible for taking the Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) certification exam. This Mechanical Design Certification is an Industry Recognized Certification and the exam is offered completely free to any student completing the program.

Registration Opens January 8th
The student registration process will be conducted through a lottery system.
Students that are registering must be grades 9-12 with spots available for 10 students. It is important for students to attend all Monday meetings to learn the skills required for the projects/tests. Meetings are from 4:00-6:00. Upon completion of this program and passing the exam, students will earn their SolidWorks Certified Associates, which can be used as a prerequisite for a Mechanical Design Degree.
