The Beloit International Film Festival is excited to announce the revival of it’s popular community outreach program, the BIFF Student Filmmaker Showcase!
Congratulations To The BIFF 2021 Participants & Winner!
It’s a great opportunity for students (grades 9th – 12th) to collaborate with professional filmmakers and learn how to make movies with mobile phones that look like… well… movies!!
Sessions will take place at Hendricks CareerTek in Beloit with instruction provided by Beloit filmmakers Marjorie and Brenton Driscoll of Peer Canvas.
An informational kickoff meeting will take place on Friday, January 29th from 4:00-5:00. A class schedule will be created taking students schedules into consideration.
Students will learn how to write, direct and edit as they complete their 5 minute short films.
A COVID friendly private viewing at CareerTek will be scheduled for family and friends. And finally, one lucky film will be given a Student Filmmaker Showcase BIFFY Award!
The program will be limited to 12 students, so its important to sign up as soon as possible if you’re interested in participating.
